On June 15th, 2017, Canadian Mayoral Delegation (Halifax) visited DDI. They attended the welcome luncheon and looked around Shanghai Town & Country Club (STCC).

DDI has gained about 5000 acres of land in Nova Skocia since it invested there in 2013. It has a historical protective building——the Pacific Tower in the downtown and the Granite Spring 18-hole Golf Club. DDI has always kept a friendly relation with Halifax. Both sides have made frequent visits since signing the memorandum of understanding (MOU). After the visit of Former Governor of Nova Skocia Stephen McNeil and his delegation, Halifax mayoral delegation visited DDI under the invitation of DDI chairman LI Hailin, thus constantly promoting the friendly relations and cooperation

Senior executives of DDI, including Chairman LI Hailin, CEO PU Furu and President of Overseas Business Development LIU Chun etc., warmly welcomed Halifax Mayoral Delegation. During the welcome luncheon, the mayor of Halifax expressed his gratitude to DDI for discovering Halifax, the pearl of East Canada, as well as investing in Halifax. He wished that both sides would keep good interactions and promote exchanges and cooperation in more aspects such as travel, education and high technology etc. Chairman LI Hailin also thanked Halifax for its support to DDI’s investment in local areas. He expressed that DDI, adhering to recent national strategy of “the Belt and Road”, would like to build a bridge for the development of the two countries and to develop the industrial park which is conducive to the interests of the two peoples. The mayor of Halifax agreed with his proposal and wished that DDI would come up with specific proposals for deeper discussion.
