Government Delegation of Nova Scotia Province and Canadian Consul General in Shanghai Paid a Visit to DDI
In the afternoon of November 1, Sunday, a 4-member government delegation of Nova Scotia Province (Laurel Buton – President and CEO of Nova Scotia Province Economic Development Company; Katherine Blewitt – Secretary of Executive Committee of Nova Scotia Province; Albert Buddy – International Relations Director of Intergovernmental Affairs Department of Nova Scotia Province; Gerald Lawson – Investment Attraction Manger of Information and Communication Technology Department of Nova Scotia Province) paid a visit to DDI together with Weldon Epp, the Canadian consul general in Shanghai.
The government delegation of Nova Scotia Province first visited STCC. They heaped praise on STCC’s family-centric design philosophy and comprehensive facilities and equipment, and they also spoke highly of its internationalized atmosphere. Next, Mr. LIU Chun, the Chairman and the Overseas Business Development President of DDI, and Mr. Peter Wood, the COO of STCC, invited the delegation and Weldon Epp, the Canadian consul general in Shanghai to have a dinner together.
During the dinner, everyone exchanged their opinions about the common issues they were concerned about. The Chairman made an introduction to the guests the property-rights exchange center project that was under construction overseas and their intention to establish a long-term friendly exchange and cooperation with the government. The consul general Weldon Epp showed a great interest in DDI’s planned project and looked forward to a further cooperation with DDI. The delegation also affirmed DDI’s long-term planning and investments in the province and they said that they would try their best to help DDI with their development in the province.
