At the meeting, Mr. Li Hailin, Chairman of Dongdu International (DDI) Group, and BOA members of STCC, including Prof. Liu Ji, Honorary Dean & Executive Dean of CEIBS, Mr. Feng Lun, Chairman of the board, Vantone Holdings Co. Ltd, Mr. Kim Jin-Goon, Partner and Managing Director, TPG & Vice-Chairman and CEO, Li-Ning., and Mr. Peter Wood, CEO, DDI Leisure & International Operations, came together to discuss the future development of STCC and share viewpoints on topics related to“lifestyles and core values of Chinese people during the current transitional period”. At the meeting, Mr. Feng Lun said, "Creativity plays an instrumental role in the competiveness of a company in a rapidly developing society. Only creative companies see sustainable vitality. As the first family-focused community, and with a commitment to creating family memories through a new kind of community experience for the whole family, there is no doubt that STCC will become one of the most popular leisure destinations among the professionals community of Shanghai." "I'm very optimistic about the development of STCC,” said Prof. Liu Ji. “It perfectly meets the needs of a modern professional group demanding a place where they can easily escape from their hectic schedule to enjoy happy moments together with their families. This will let each family member enjoy quality life and grow together." China’s rapid urbanization and the continuous improvement of people’s living standards have come with a series of societal problems and environmental concerns. The sustainable development of a city is compromised by factors such as pollution, food safety issues, and factors affecting the wellbeing of our next generation, and limitations on leisure, which is vital for enhanced quality of life. As more affluent local and expatriate professionals have moved to Shanghai, the rapid development of the city has been accelerated even further due to their constantly changing needs. The underlying reasons for STCC's existence in Shanghai is to provide people with "a home away from home" where they can enjoy a happy and leisurely life. "Business and economic developments aside, DDI Group continuously focuses on the physical and mental demands placed on professionals," said by Mr. Li Hailin. “We also place a strong emphasis on family values and children’s education. By establishing a community that meets international standards for health as well as providing family activities and entertainment, we aim to offer our members a place where they can spend quality time with their loved ones that will provide memories to last the rest of their lives. Our BOA is a channel for like-minded people to gather and exchange ideas, to explore ways to better serve our members, and to promote and advocate for healthy and well-rounded life concepts.” “We are grateful to have Prof. Liu Ji, Mr. Feng Lun, and Mr. Kim Jin-Goon in attendance for STCC’s first BOA meeting to share their experiences, ideas, and suggestions,” said Mr. Peter Wood. “With help from the BOA, STCC will be able to provide the most attentive and exclusive services for its members, meeting their expectations for a quality lifestyle. I look forward to reuniting with everyone this summer at the Community!” DDI signed MOU with Finton Construction to establish a joint venture 2014 will be a rapid development year for DDI to expand globally.
